Edward G. Eisenlohr 1872-1961 'When the Year Is Young' Oil on canvas, 24" x 30" 1928 Texas Wildflower Competitive Exhibition Honorable Mention   Eisenlohr, like W.Herbert Dunton, paints a broader brush than some of the painters in the Davis Collection. The artist was a student of two prominent Texas painters, Robert Onderdonk and Frank Reaugh. Both artists were impressionistic in their overall style, and this influence is seen in Eisenlohr's painting When the Year Is Young.
